One of the primary concerns of Lambda Theta Alpha has been and continues to be the growth and diversity of its sisterhood.  For this reason, the "Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha" was established as an interest group.  The Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha take great pride in the interest group and devote much time to its success and orientation.

    As the first Latin Sorority ever created to cater towards the needs of latinas in the nation, Lambda Theta Alpha recognizes the importance of reaching out to others and forming a united coalition of professional, diverse, culturally and politically aware women.  We are not an exclusive group of women and believe that all women are alike and should be given an opportunity to make their mark on the world.  This is our right and our profound legacy.

    The main goals of the interest group are to establish working and social relationships with the sisters and with each other.  In this way, fundraising, community service, and activism, as well as social efforts, can be a success.  By their collaborative efforts, past interest groups have attained high levels of success and have gained essential insight as to what Lambda Theta Alpha is - an organization... a Sisterhood... based on Unity, Love and Respect... and dedicated to the empowerment of minorities and the universal woman through her education, a love of culture, the disenfranchised and her surrounding communities.
