Chapter Philanthropy

As a chapter we have chosen the Latin American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LALDEF) as our chapter's philanthropy. The Latin American Legal Defense and Educational Fund concentrates on the underlying reasons why immigrants are marginalized. By demonstrating to immigrants how to use the system and locate the resources needed, they hope to enable them to be  autonomous and prosper.

In order to strengthen our communities, LALDEF works to advance the rights of all immigrants, with a particular focus on the Latino community in Mercer County. They also makes it easier for people to access legal assistance, health care, and education.

LALDEF depends on the kind assistance of our society of activists and volunteers. It is donors within our communities that fund 86 percent of their operating costs.
